i know i know finally
Okay so it has really been forever since i last updated. So much has happened i dont even know where to start. Christmas was awesome, i went back to strelcha and spent it with my bulgarian fam. they let me nap and lay on the couch and watch tv and fed me bunches. it was really just wonderful. and at night i hit up the good ol lucky and partied with some old friends from the strelch. it was great to catch up. Strelcha still remains my favorite town in bulgaria...i want to buy a house there and vacation there every summer! too bad im poor, yo. hmm...new years was awesome too...spent it in a ski chalet in the rodopi mountains...danced the horo at midnight and drank a lot of champagne. have video footage that maybe ill show some people some day...or not...could be considered incriminating...
my birthday was lots of fun...got to spend it with some of my favorite peeps in bulgaria. and then after that as most of you are well aware of, i was chauffered back to the states for a nice little vacay in washington dc. luckily everythings okay and they've sent me back to bulgaria and now im back in my favorite little internet club in blagoevgrad.
Yesterday, was a huge wine festival in Illindentsi, a small town in the pirin mountians close to strumiyani. I went with some of my colleguease and litterly froze my little booty off. Why the hold a festival outside in the middle of winter is beyond me. I probably wouldnt have minded the cold so much if i could have drinkin the wine, but im on an antibiotic that says i will get violently ill if injest alcohol. so i drank water and ate banitza. It was nice though to do some fun stuff with my collegueas from work. we danced the horo on top of a mountain, and i have me falling in a big hole and everyone laughing at me on film. yes, classic me...oh well, i have to admit it is pretty funny when i watch it.
so next week is the In Service Training for my B16 group of pcvs. 5 days of lectures and classes and stuff during the day and at night? oh man i can only speculate. we will see...
so it is very very very cold in bulgaria right now. and my heater broke for a few days...fortunately i bought a little one a little while ago and was able to heat my bedroom. well, i fixed it myself yesterday...gave it a swift kick out of frustration and lo and behold the behemoth of a heater started to work again! i text msgd my counterpart and told her not to worry about getting the heater fixed, that i did it myself. i cant wait to tell her how tomorrow.
oh and some other new news...i have the craziest friggen cat in the world. he is so annoying and i hate him until he falls asleep and is cute. for some reason he likes to attack my face and scratch me and just never chills out! im hoping he will hurry up and turn into a lazy old cat soon. hoping...before i go through with my daily threat to him that i will throw him back out onto the street where i got him....so there you are all caught up for now...i will try to update more regularly from now on...i promise! lots and lots of love to all my peeps, thanks for all your support...and keeping me going out here a million miles aways! love always, shaina rose
